Creating and Uploading Mobile Video with KMSGo

Kaltura MediaSpace Go (KMSGo) is a mobile application available on iOS and Android smartphones and tablets that provides a simplified view of MediaSpace and basic media playback as well as this streamlined workflow for recording and uploading mobile video to your My Media library.  See the basic instructions below and the video for more details.

To create and upload a video on your mobile device:

Install KMSGo

1. If you have not installed KMSGo on your mobile device, go to the App Store (iOS) or the Play Store (Android).
2. Search for "Kaltura MediaSpace" and install the appropriate app.
3. Once installed, launch KMSGo, and on the first launch, enter the URL "https://mediaspace.niu.edu". This will take you to your simplified MediaSpace view.
4. Click the person icon in the upper left to login with your NIU username and password.

 Create and Upload

1. Tap on KMSGo to open the app.
2. At the bottom of the home screen, tap on Upload.
3. Choose Gallery to select an existing video or Camera to record a new video.
4. If using the camera, press the red record button to start and the stop button to stop.
5. Trim the video before uploading it if desired.
6. Edit the video title, description, and tags.
7. Tap Done to begin uploading or I will upload later to postpone the upload.
8. The upload will appear in your media gallery once uploaded and processed.
