Students have access to all of the Kaltura media creation and hosting tools and can therefore upload media, capture webcam videos, create screen recordings, and so on. Faculty can create projects and assignments that give students the opportunity to create and submit media. Faculty can solicit this media submission to Blackboard as part the Assignment feature, a Discussion post, or even a test item. Each of these submission options includes a rich text editor with a feature for submitting media from the student's My Media library. See instructions below.
- After you have created your media, click to open the assignment/discussion/test link to which you want to submit media from your My Media library.
- For assignments, click Start Attempt.
- In the text box, click the + button at the far right of the rich text editor toolbar (Insert Content).
- Choose Content Market.
- Choose Kaltura Video (not Kaltura Video Quiz).
- This will display your My Media content. Click the blue Embed button for the media you want to embed in the text window. Edit the title if desired in the Display Name panel that appears.
- This will create a playable thumbnail embed of the media in the text box. Add any additional content, such as text or file attachments, then click Submit when you are ready to submit the assignment.
